Welcome, welcome, welcome back to yet another Draft "Expert" quarterback prospect ranking post! Once again, we will be looking at each quarterbacks most recent showing and ranking them according to how they performed during said showing. Crazy, I know.
This week will be fun though as we may see the preseason number one quarterback prospect outside of the top 10, another quarterback that was hyped up preseason not even listed, some new faces, some movement, and most importantly, possibly, a new number one quarterback prospect. I wonder who'll be at number one this week!
Anyways, without further ado, here is the Draft "Expert's" week SEVEN quarterback prospect rankings! Enjoy! (please don't be mad at me if you don't like the rankings, I'm the "expert" here, so being mad won't do you any good (this is comedy)

1. Matt Corral, Ole Miss (+1)

Wk 6 - 21/38 231 yds 2 touchdowns 1 interception/30 carries 195 yds 0 touchdowns @ Tennessee (31-26 W)
Season - 122/184 1,728 yds 14 touchdowns 1 interception/88 carries 450 yds 8 touchdowns
Matt Corral put on an absolute show Saturday night on the road against Tennessee. Throwing for a pretty standard 231 yards, but added in an insanely impressive 195 yards on the ground. Though he threw his first pic of the season, that shouldn't take away from an overall impressive performance. Showing off his ability in the pass game (which we already knew) while also setting a new career high in rushing yards, passing his previous record of 158 yards from last season against LSU. Over the past two weeks, Corral has rushed for 289 yards on 45 attempts, which has seen him take a lot of hits, the best one coming last week against Arkansas where he ate a flying knee to the head. This season, Corral has put on an absolute show, and has cut down a lot on his lapses in judgement, which saw him throw 11 pics in just two games last season. He's been one of the favorites for the Heisman Trophy and has been considered one of the top QBs in the upcoming draft. Now, for me, he has jumped up to number one.

Season - 109/165 1,462 yds 14 touchdowns 6 interceptions/105 carries 655 yds 9 touchdowns
Malik Willis has had a rough couple of weeks by his standards, throwing three interceptions against Middle Tennessee State and then throwing three more this past weekend against Louisiana Monroe, losing the game in the process. A game where the Flames were 32.5 point favorites. Let's just say, this week was a tough one. After throwing no pics the entire season to six in just two weeks against not great opposition, Willis has to drop down to two for this week. I have no doubt in my mind that he could jump back up to number one, as I feel his ceiling in arguably higher than Corral's and I think his skill set is relatively unmatched in this draft class, based off these past two weeks, and Corral's performance against Tennessee on the road, I don't think I can have Willis stay at number one.

Season - 108/168 1,444 yds 13 touchdowns 2 interceptions/37 carries 118 yds 3 touchdowns
After Iowa got ass pounded by Purdue at home, Cincinnati is now the second best team in college football, according to the recent AP Top 25. Going into this weekend, Cincy was favored by 21 against UCF and had very little issues covering that spread and beat down the Golden Knights 56-21. Cincinnati has been playing great this season and a lot of that has to go down to the play of their star quarterback Desmond Ridder. Like last week against Temple, Ridder didn't need to do too much to secure the win, but has done a very nice job at not turning the ball over and making smarter decisions in his overall passing game. After three years at Cincinnati that saw his numbers go up and down like he was on a rollercoaster, he seems to have figured it out in the passing game, making him a real threat on the football field.

Season - 167/246 1,990 yds 16 touchdowns 3 interceptions/19 carries -80 yds 0 touchdowns
To be honest, part of me was nervous going into this game. Not because I thought Hawaii would beat Nevada, I wondered if the Rainbow Warriors would though make life hard for Carson Strong. To keep matters short, they did not, as Strong threw the ball 54 times with just under 400 yards and tossed two touchdowns and no interceptions. Against another pass happy team in Fresno State, Hawaii picked off Bulldogs quarterback Jake Haener four times. Now, I am well aware Carson Strong is a better quarterback, but I was interested to see how he'd do, and he did well. After throwing eight touchdowns through the first four games of the season, Strong has thrown eight in just his last two games. It seems he's getting in a nice little rhythm now, which could see him continue to rise up draft boards.

Season - 129/211 1,851 18 touchdowns 6 interceptions/96 494 yds 5 touchdowns
Sam Howell has had a pretty weird year. Throwing the ball, he's been very inconsistent, as we saw in games against Virginia Tech and Florida State, two teams UNC should really have no problems with. In the run game though, Howell has shown off his athleticism as he's on the Tar Heels in rushing with just under 500 yards, and has seen him haver break out games running the ball against Georgia State, Virginia, Florida State, and this week against Miami, which saw him two yards shy of his fourth 100+ yard rushing game of the season. Though he has been inconsistent in the passing game, his insane rise in his rushing stats will make teams look at Howell in the upcoming draft. This week though, UNC has a bye before taking on Notre Dame on the road. North Carolina needs to figure some things out during the bye week, they can't keep having these up and down performances like we've been seeing.

Season - 143/205 1,934 yds 21 touchdowns 1 interception/48 yds 180 yds 3 touchdowns
This Saturday, Pickett and Pitt made light work against a tough Virginia Tech team on the road. A Va. Tech team that beat a top 10 UNC team and made Sam Howell's life a living hell and took a top 15 Notre Dame team to overtime, yet Pitt seemed to have no problems handling the Hokies. Yet again, Pickett played a nice game. Sure it may have not been his most efficient game but he still added three touchdowns and didn't turn the ball over once. This season has just been near perfect for Pickett. Before this season, Pickett's career high in passing touchdowns was 13, which he got in 2020 and 2019. As of right now, through six games, Pickett has thrown 21. Also in 2020 and 2019, he threw nine interceptions. As of now, he's thrown only one. I don't know what happened to the Kenny Pickett we grew to know over the past few seasons, but I'm really enjoying his game this season. Pitt's pass game has been great and Kenny Pickett looks like a legit draft prospect. He's improved in the pass game and has shown off his abilities as a rusher too. He's had a great season, I hope it continues as the season goes on.

Season - 101/166 1,419 yds 13 touchdowns 2 interceptions/82 carries 329 yds 5 touchdowns
In a game where we though UCLA would rely on the run game they did just that, rushing for 237 yards against the Huskies with Charbonnet gaining 131 yards and DTR getting a further 87. Not only did DTR have a great game running the ball, he had a very efficient game throwing the ball as well, throwing only five incompletions with 183 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. So far this season, this game against Washington may have been DTR's best all around game this season. As a whole, DTR has played some very nice football, and I hope it continues for him. He's a great athlete and a good enough passer of the football to been a real threat at the next level. UCLA does have a tough match-up against the Ducks at home, and based off Oregon's recent run of games, I don't think it'd be out of the question to see a UCLA upset against the tenth ranked Ducks.

Season - 139/215 1,722 yds 14 touchdowns 3 interceptions/46 carries 51 yds 3 touchdowns
After a pretty rough showing against the Sun Devils in week six, McKee bounced back with a pretty nice performance against the Washington State Cougars. Unfortunately, Stanford came out of the wrong side of a 34-31 game in Pullman. Though the Cardinal may have lost, McKee needed to have a little bit of a bounce back game, and I'd say he did, missing on only nine passes with almost 300 yards and three total touchdown and no interceptions. Though he did have a costly fumble with about 30 seconds left, I'd say, overall, he had a pretty solid outing against the Cougars.

Season - 116/168 1,506 yds 6 touchdowns 3 interceptions/69 carries 401 yds 4 touchdowns
Jayden Daniels is a very fun quarterback to watch when he is on, and on Saturday, at least in the first half, Daniels was definitely on. Throwing for 237 yards with two touchdowns to go along with 32 yards on the ground and another touchdown. Though he was responsible for all of ASU's touchdowns against the Utes, all of those came in the first half, with their offense not doing much of anything in the second half, with the Sun Devils punting twice and missing a field goal before ending the game with a Jayden Daniels sack on third and 26. If the game ended at halftime, ASU would be really happy with their performance. Unfortunately for them, the game of football is four quarters, and in the second half, you would've thought ASU only thought the game ended at half time. After coming off some very nice performances the previous three weeks, ASU now enters the bye week coming off a rough loss. Their next game with being on the 30th against Washington State.

Season - 179/264 2,326 yds 20 touchdowns 6 interceptions/43 carries 41 yds 3 touchdowns
This tenth spot was incredibly hard to fill. With Rattler not playing after getting benched against Texas, JT Daniels still not starting, and Emory Jones getting benched against LSU, this really could've been anyones spot. Much like last week though, there wasn't a ton of insane performances from quarterbacks outside of the top ten, so Jake Haener cracks into the top 10 for the first time this season. Like McKee last week, Haener did not have an insane performance which saw him enter the top 10, more of every either not playing or not playing well. This week against Wyoming, Haener threw for under 100 yards while completing just over 50% of his passes with two touchdowns. This season though, as a whole, has been a pretty fun one for Haener and the offense. So far, Haener has thrown for over 2,300 yards with 20 touchdowns and six interceptions, with those 2,300+ passing yards being the highest out of any quarterback in the top 10, and is good for the third best mark in the nation, just behind Virginia's Brennan Armstrong and Western Kentucky's Bailey Zappe. Haener is a very nice quarterback and will continue to put up very good numbers as the season progresses. This week should be a fun one, as Haener and the Bulldogs are taking on Carson Strong and the Nevada Wolfpack. If you want to see a whole lot of passing yards, I would recommend you tune into this game (6 pm CT on FS2).
