The Draft "Expert" - Mid-Season 2022 NFL Draft Prospect Rankings

Writer: Logan BlackmanLogan Blackman

Updated: Nov 27, 2021

Welcome one and all to the first OFFICIAL prospect rankings for the 2022 NFL Draft! Now, like I always say in the intro for these things, these rankings are subject to change, this is just how I feel they stand at this point and time. So please don't be too upset if a player isn't ranked where you want them ranked.

Now, it's important to remember, I host a big time podcast, therefore I am much smarter and, might I add, much more attractive, so your opinion means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things. I am the "expert" here after all.

Also, please don't take the last paragraph seriously, your IQ is probably somewhere in the double digit range and you're probably not the ugliest person out there so don't beat your self up too much.

All in all, I really hope you enjoy the Draft "Expert's" FIRST OFFICIAL prospect rankings for the 2022 NFL Draft! So, without further ado, I give you, the rankings!

Running Back

Pictured: Isaiah Spiller, Texas A&M; Breece Hall, Iowa State; Kenneth Walker III, Michigan State

  1. Breece Hall, Iowa State (1)

    1. Season - 198 carries 1,121 yds 14 touchdowns/28 catches 221 yds 1 touchdown

    2. Hall has improved as an all around back, I like that Iowa State is using him more in the passing game, having already passed his career high in catches already this season

    3. Hall is also very consistent, posting back-to-back 1,000+ yards season, and posted 800+ yards his first year as Iowa State's go to guy

    4. He's a very smart runner that can gash opposing defenses and has the size to break away from easy arm tackles

  2. Kenneth Walker III, Michigan State (N/A)

    1. Season - 197 carries 1,330 yds 15 touchdowns/10 catches 56 yds 1 touchdown

    2. Probably the Heisman Trophy winner

    3. Leads the nation in rushing yards and is second in rushing touchdowns

    4. Only has one real year of productivity, but has almost single handily carried this Michigan State Spartans team

    5. He's not really used in the pass as much as you would like, but his abilities in the run game are second to none this season. His speed has seen him blow the doors off of defenders and has seen him post multiple 200+ yard games and multiple 3+ touchdown games.

  3. Isaiah Spiller, Texas A&M (2)

    1. Season - 144 carries 873 yds 5 touchdowns/22 catches 182 yds 1 touchdown

  4. Kyren Williams, Notre Dame (3)

    1. Season - 160 carries 802 yds 9 touchdowns/34 carries 293 yds 3 touchdowns

    2. Best pure receiver out of the running backs

  5. Zach Charbonnet, UCLA (N/A)

  7. Zamir White, Georgia (6)

    1. Season - 106 carries 519 yds 9 touchdowns/2 catches 28 yds0 touchdowns

    2. Rotates with James Cook in Georgia's backfield, so his numbers may not blow you away, but he's a very tough runner

  8. Tyler Allgeier, BYU (9)

    2. Fourth in the nation in rushing yards and first in touchdowns

  1. Treylon Burks, Arkansas (3)

    1. Season - 48 catches 799 yds 8 touchdowns/9 carries 110 yds 1 touchdown

    2. Burks natural size, speed, and athleticism is second to none in the 2022 NFL Draft

    3. Has the ability to out muscle any defender and does a great job at out jumping defenders and high pointing the ball (makes circus catches all the time)

    4. He might not have monster numbers due to Arkansas' run first offense, but that could honestly help Burks, as he is not only a very talented receiver, but is a very capable blocker as well

    1. Season - 42 catches 623 yds 10 touchdowns

    2. Silky smooth
